And this particular scheme requires a large amount of time-travel, and kidnapping Austin Powers&#39; father, England&#39;s master spy, Nigel Powers. As Austin chases Dr. Evil, Mini-Me and Goldmember through time, he stops in 1975 to &quot;connect&quot; with an old girlfriend, detective Foxxy Cleopatra, and requests her help to track the villains and save his father. Upon learning that his father has been kidnapped, Austin Powers must travel to 1975 and defeat the aptly named villain Goldmember, who is working with Dr. Evil. Austin Powers in Goldmember is a great movie with a with a well developed plot line, a top notch cast and, of course, fantastic characters. There is absolutely no denying that it is ridiculous fun from start to finish, jam packed with hilarious sequences, terrific cameos and stellar one liners throughout. This is a franchise that I think is difficult to get wronglongthe cast are having fun with it. <br/><br/>I will admit, however, that it is weaker than the previous twoa result of a little too much repetition. It plays up a lot of what worked in the other movies, to the degree of repeating entire jokes that we have already seen before. I just felt that it should have let itself be its own movie a little bit more. <br/><br/>The cast isgoodever, Mike Myers shines in the four roles he now plays in this movie, and his versatilitya comedic actor is no question. As wellseveral returning members, we have delightful new additions, suchBeyoncé KnowlesAustin&#39;s love interest Foxxy Cleopatra, and the great Michael Cainehis father Nigel Powers. They both manage to fit themselves in to this bizarre universe effortlessly. <br/><br/>It is side splitting hilarity from start to finish. Great fun with a top notch comedic cast, I would recommend Austin Powers in Goldmember to anyone looking for a good comedy. <br/><br/>In order to save his father, Austin must travel back to the 70&#39;s and defeat the evil Goldmember, who has teamed up with his arch nemesis Dr Evil. <br/><br/>Best Performance: Mike Myers As farAustin Powers movies go, I can say that this movie was almost a stroke of brilliance(again, only by Austin Powers movies terms.) The only reason I think that I didn&#39;t give this movie a perfect ten,(I gave it a nine,) is only because the ending was quite obvious. The other 2 I loved also but notmuch. By ratings terms, I&#39;d give them each an 8. Still I loved all three, but I beleive that a 4th wouldn&#39;t be a great idea. And couldn&#39;t besuccessfulthe three existing titles. For those who saw the movie they will know what I mean. Goldmember comes after years of escalating vulgarity have thrown the need for caution – and cleverness – out of fashion.
